Good side is
Tress could help to strengthen the soil of the property and also provide natural barrier between you and your neighbor (seclusive views and more privacy)
Downsides is
1. rack the leaves, or buy the tool to blow the leaves
2. tree doctors
3. storm would damage
4. root might damage the septic system, and got to keep an eye on it
5. and once you need to cut it down that means "big money cost" like hundreds to two thousands
at least to deal with it. You don't do it yourself unless you are well-skilled and have proper tools.
